The 8 Hour Annual Firearms Training Course for Armed Security Guard originally scheduled for Saturday, March 15, 2014 has been rescheduled.   The class will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 10am to 6pm.

8 Hour Annual Firearms Training Course for Armed Security Guards  An 8 Hour Firearms Class will be held on March 8, 2014 from 10am to 6pm. This  course is a review of the 47 Hour Firearms Training Course which includes complete familiarization on with and discussion of, Article 35 of the New York State Penal Law, the nomenclature for all service weapons which the security guard is authorized to carry in the performance of his/her duties. Use of firearms and standard safety precautions will be emphasized. Loading and Unloading, sighting, proper grip, trigger control and effective range of the respective weapons will be covered. All authorized weapons will be fired for familiarization. All service handguns which the security guard is authorized to carry in the performance of his/her duties will be fired for qualification. The course includes ammunition and targets. Fee for this class is $125.00.
