8 Hour Annual Firearms Training Course for Armed Security Guards: Saturday, August 1, 2015 or Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 9:30am to 6:30pm. Fee for this class is $125.00. This course is a review of
the 47 Hour Firearms Training Course which includes complete familiarization with and discussion of, Article 35 of the New York State Penal Law, the nomenclature for all service weapons which the security guard is authorized to carry in the performance of his/her duties. Use of firearms and standard safety precautions will be emphasized. Loading and Unloading, sighting, proper grip, trigger control and effective range of the respective weapons will be covered. All authorized weapons will be
fired for familiarization. All service handguns which the security guard is authorized to carry in the performance of his/her duties will be fired for qualification. The course includes ammunition and targets.
Hunter Safety Class:
Held on two consecutive Saturday's, August 15 & 22, 2015 from 11am to 4pm each day. Hunter Safety Classes are held at the range for anyone 12 years of age or older wishing to obtain a license to hunt with a firearm in
the State of New York. This class is held on (2) Saturdays and you must attend both class dates. Registration for this class is in person only at the range and begins Monday, August 10, 2015 at 12pm. Non-members cannot register online or by phone. This class is a free class.
NY HR218 (LEOSA) Training
Course: Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 10am to 5pm.
The Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) is a United States
federal law, enacted in 2004, that allows two classes of persons—the "qualified law enforcement officer" and the "qualified retired law enforcement officer" -- to carry a concealed firearm in any jurisdiction in the United States, regardless of any state or local law to the contrary, with certain exceptions. Fee for this class is $50.00. There will be a $40.00 fee for each additional
firearm you choose to qualify with.
